Important: Define comments access to registered users

circle3_fade6I’ve just added this to the installation info on, but it’s worth repeating: be sure to limit discussions to registered users. This way, you won’t have to worry about comment spam. 1. John says:

Have the option “Allow people to post comments on new articles” checked makes commenting available on new posts. If that box is unchecked, the default on new posts will be for comments to be closed. That’s fine if you want to keep your site more one-directional. Ideally, however, all posts can be commented on and by classroom members (registered users) only.
