Use to add avatars to site

Avatars are used along with nicknames to identify users of the site. Students need to only set up a Gravatar once and it follows them around whenever they register with the same email address. Students may add multiple email addresses and avatars.

Avatars are cropped into a circle on the site, but should be uploaded as a rectangle.

    I’d suggest having students add the gravatars on the first day of class. If keeping a student’s identity private is important, avatars may be abstract or of a favorite object, and the nickname something that won’t appear in a Google search or be identified immediately with the student.
